I “Heart” AttaBoy Plumbing

I know it sounds a little mushy, but I’m really glad I work for this plumbing company. Having been a technician with AttaBoy for quite a few years and having worked all over the Indianapolis, Carmel, Fishers, Greenwood area, I have seen the heart of our company’s founder, Richard Behney, expressed in really cool ways to our customers.

Every once in awhile one of our techs will encounter a customer who is unable to pay what it would take to do the job because of an extraordinary hardship that is outside of their control. Richard has given our guys the freedom to assess those types of situations and see if there is something we can do to help.

Just today one of our techs was repairing some pipes under a kitchen sink and did work on a drain opening and ran into a situation where he could see by the home environment that the tears of the customer were real. Our plumber wanted to take a pay cut on that job in order to help that customer.

You don’t always find that attitude with employees, but that kind of compassion has been modeled on many occasions by our employer. I too have enjoyed the “thank yous” and even hugs from a customer or two because I knew the heart of those who began AttaBoy Plumbing Company. I like that.
